photo of woman participating in the 2017 Edmonton Indigenous Peoples FestivalThousands of Edmontonians will descend on Victoria Park for Edmonton’s Indigenous Peoples Festival on June 21 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm!

Experience a Pow-Wow from 11:30 – 1:00, visit displays and take part in interactive activities by community partners from all across the Edmonton region, make bannock over the fire, watch live concerts all afternoon and evening from 2:30 – 8:00 pm, visit the artisan marketplace and enjoy a snack from a local food truck.

Where is Victoria Park and how do we get there?

NO PUBLIC PARKING OR DROP-OFF is available on-site; please use our free and convenient Park and Ride service from Re/Max (formerly Telus) Field or free shuttle service from Coliseum Transit Centre running during festival hours.  Visit our Location and Access page for all the details.

What does it cost?  Do I need tickets?

This is a FREE festival, just show up!

What is the schedule?

11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Community partner displays and interactive activities open across Victoria Park (some may close 11:30-1:00 for Pow-Wow)

11:30 am – 1:00 pm

2:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Main stage concerts featuring local, regional and international Indigenous artists

Artisan marketplace open

Is there food available?

Yes, local food vendors will be set up on site.

Are there things to buy?

Yes, our artisan marketplace will feature local Indigenous artisans selling their products.  A cash machine will be available on-site.

Is it family friendly?

Yes, this is an alcohol-free, family-friendly festival.  There will be lots of activities for kids and people of all ages.  A special, sheltered, reserved seating area is available for Elders.
